Obituary

Loving wife, sister, aunt, great aunt, and precious friend, Clarice Jean Vierus Konieczny, 69, of Latium, Texas passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, while visiting family in Oklahoma.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 10, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of a Christian Burial will be Monday, June 11 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Latium with Msgr. Benedict Zientek, Father Eddie Kucera, Jr. and Deacon Stevie Borowicz as co-celebrants. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Clarice was born August 9, 1948, in Brenham, Texas to parents John and Mary (Borowicz) Vierus. She graduated from Burton High School in Burton, Texas, and attended college. On April 29, 1978, she married Lenny Konieczny at St. John’s Catholic Church in Fayetteville, Texas. Clarice and Lenny were active members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Latium and St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Brenham.

Clarice was a caring person who was loved by all. She was always the life of the party. She brought such a true fun spirit into every room she entered. She always displayed her patriotism in the highest regard. Clarice lived each day to the fullest. She was a true example of love and compassion. She so loved her family and the USA! There was never a day she didn’t have a fun joke or a nickname to call you! She was always a person full of laughter and fun! Family was everything to her! She loved serving others. She found true joy through her volunteer work with the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Auxiliary, in which she held many positions at local, state, and national levels. She owned a very successful medical business for many years. The past 18 years she worked in accounting for Able Air Conditioning.

She was preceded in death by loving husband, Lenny; parents, John and Mary Vierus; brothers and sister, John Vierus Jr., David Vierus, Natalie (Vierus) Imhoff; brother-in-law, Leo Mueller; nephew, Dennis Mueller; niece Michelle Vierus-Garcia; great niece Amber Konieczny; and Clem and Lillian Konieczny.

Her loving family includes her favorite brother, Daniel and wife Cristina Vierus of Piedmont, Oklahoma; sisters, Valeria (Vierus) Mueller, Loretta (Vierus) and husband Ron Haren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Jerry Walters, Fred Imhoff, Adelene Konieczny, Raymond and Hedwig Konieczny; nephew, Daniel Konieczny and special friend Alli and son, Curt; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and God Children Brian Haren and Tammy Vierus Wesley.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Konieczny, Devin Vierus, Derek Vierus, Brian Haren, Damon Vierus, Charles Imhoff, Douglas Mueller, and Curt. Honorary pallbearers will be members of DAV Auxiliary.

Clarice was so loved by all and will be so missed! God Bless America and Thank you God for our Clarice! We will remember you always!!!
