Cleburne Rau

Cleburne Rau, 73, of Brenham, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2006 in Temple, Texas.

He was born August 23, 1932 in the Cedar Hill Community to Otto and Ella Rodenbeck Rau. Cleburne was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville. He married Nadine Boeker on August 19, 1956.

Mr. Rau was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Geneva Hugo; and grandson, Tyler Rau.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine Boeker Rau; son, Wade Rau, of Brenham, and his daughters Molli and Maggi Rau; daughters, Penny and husband Danny Dahlquist, of Brenham, and their daughters Brooke, Katy, and Anna Dahlquist, Cathey and husband Paul Batista, of Caldwell, and their daughters, Savannah and Alana; brother, Charles and wife Faye Rau, of La Grange; sister, Ella Rau, of Brenham.

Visitation will be held from six until eight o’clock in the evening on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, June 2, 2006 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville, with Pastor Jim Abbott officiating. Internment will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Rau’s granddaughters.
