Clemence John Wiseniske

Clemence John Wiseniske passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, in Bryan, Texas.

Born in Washington, Texas, to John and Helen Wiseniske, Clemence was baptized and confirmed at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill, Texas. He grew up with a deep appreciation for faith, family, and the traditions that shaped his life.

On July 3, 1954, he married the love of his life, Virginia Cegielski, beginning a marriage filled with devotion, hard work, and family. Together they raised two sons, Richard and Tommy Wiseniske, and built a lifetime of cherished memories.

Clemence proudly served his country in the United States Army before beginning a long career with Cameron Iron Works, where he worked for many years. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet determination, and willingness to lend a helping hand.

The outdoors was where Clemence felt most at home. He had a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing, especially on the East Ranch in South Texas. He also loved quail hunting with his beloved bird dogs and took great pride in raising both quail and bird dogs. Many of his happiest memories were made in the field, riding through the ranch in his Jeep, sharing stories, and occasionally encountering the enormous rattlesnakes that seemed to appear at just the right time to become another unforgettable tale.

Family vacations were another source of great joy. Clemence loved traveling with his family to Colorado, Arkansas, and Tennessee, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Some of his favorite moments were spent river fishing with his grandsons, passing along not only his love of fishing but also lessons in patience, appreciation for nature, and the importance of family.

Music was also woven into his life from an early age. As a young man, Clemence played the fiddle alongside his father, who accompanied him, providing music for many Polish weddings throughout the area. Those gatherings reflected his love of family, community, and the rich heritage he proudly embraced.

In his later years, Clemence found happiness in life's simple routines. He looked forward to breakfasts at Cracker Barrel and IHOP, where he became friends with the employees and many of the regular customers. Those visits became a cherished part of his daily life, filled with laughter, conversation, and familiar faces.

Above all, Clemence will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, veteran, outdoorsman, and loyal friend. His kindness, sense of humor, love of family, and appreciation for the outdoors left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the traditions he passed down.

Clemence was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Wiseniske, and sister, Albina Balcerek.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Virginia Wiseniske; his sons, Richard Wiseniske and Tommy Wiseniske; grandchildren Cory and Natalie Wiseniske, Steven and Sondra Wiseniske, Joseph and Rylee Hatfield, and Ethan Wiseniske; great-grandchildren Luke, Adam, Ben, Jake, Sam, Cole, Ollie, Colin, Katelyn, and Hayden Wiseniske, Parker, Quinn, Lawson, and Asher Hatfield.

Funeral services will be held at Brenham Memorial Chapel on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 11:30am, with interment to follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Chappell Hill, Texas. Visitation and Rosary will be held prior to the funeral service with visitation beginning at 10:00am and the Rosary beginning at 11:00am.

The family asks that those who remember Clemence honor his life by spending time with those they love, enjoying the outdoors, casting a fishing line, or sharing a story with family and friends.
