Connie Hetzel

Connie Hetzel, 56, of Brenham passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010 at her home.

Connie was born September 7, 1954 in Brenham to parents Cleon, Sr. and Ruth (Broesche) Conner. She was a 1973 honor graduate of Brenham High School and received her Associate Degree from Blinn College. On August 11, 1979 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Hetzel at First Baptist Church Brenham. Connie was a medical transcriber for over 30 years at Brenham Clinic Association. She was a member of First Baptist Church and served as Sunday School secretary for many years. Connie was always involved in her children’s activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her loving family survives: husband Kenneth Hetzel of Brenham; son Jacob Hetzel of Austin; daughter JoAnna Kegans and husband Bryan of Denton; brother Cleon Conner, Jr. and wife Judy of Overland Park, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, December 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 4 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church Brenham with Rev. Stephen Ponder and Rev. Albert Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Kegans, Stacy Conner, Christian Conner, Gayle Krebs, Luther Hueske, Ron Woltmann, Ricky Rudloff and Brian Janes. Honorary pallbearers will be Brenham Clinic physicians and employees.

Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church or Hospice.
