Curtis Scott Konieczny, age 47 years passed away on September 12, 2020 surrounded by his wife, daughter, and mother. Curtis was born on July 31, 1973 in Brenham, Texas to Leon and Frances (Bednar) Konieczny.

Curtis was a very hard worker and valued all aspects of life. He was a precision welder and took great pride in his work and enjoyed fixing anything family, friends, and neighbors brought to his shop. Curtis could fix anything he laid his hands on. Building deer blinds for hunters was a passion of his. Curtis enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved nature and enjoyed hunting and camping. For the past 30 years, one of Curtis's favorite thing to do was to go to his deer lease in Comfort, Texas. He was always on the lookout for that big axis to walk out. He took great pride in taking his wife, daughter, and mom on hunts. They truly will cherish the memories they made in Comfort. His deer lease buddies, Jason Jasinski, Keith Mikolajchak, and John Mikolajczak have so many memories and fun times that they have shared together.

Curtis was God fearing, kind, loved others more than himself and would go out of his way to always drop what he was doing to help others.

Curtis loved to have fun and if you ever got the opportunity to spend some time with him you were blessed to know his fun personality and the hours he would spend laughing and joking around. Curtis was routine oriented. He would stop by his home every day after work and have a glass of sweet tea with his wife, then he would go down to his shop and work on things. He would always make time to stop by and check on his mom. On Fridays, his routine was different, after work he was always so eager to come home where he knew his precious daughter would be home from college. He valued getting to spend the evening with Dawn and Brooke catching up on their week.

Curtis was so loved by his four nieces and he loved each of them with his whole heart. He enjoyed joking with them and giving them a hard time. He would always go above and beyond to make them happy and smile. His biggest pride and joy was his daughter, Brooke, who he called whizzle or worm. He was so proud of everything that she accomplished so far in her life.

Curtis was employed as a young boy for Mae Ola Grebe doing mowing and taking care of her place, as well as working for Bren-Tex Tractor. He then took a job at Woltmann's Welding and Fabrication which was later bought by Team Works Parts Service and Fabrication, LLC, where he was employed for 29 years as a welder. Curtis made lifelong friends and so many memories at his job.

Curtis was a graduate of the Class of 1991 at Brenham High School. On January 21, 1995, he married the love of his life, Dawn Rhodes, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brenham, Texas.

Curtis was baptized and confirmed there as well. Curtis was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was honored to be an altar server for many years.

Curtis is preceded in death by: his dad, Leon; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Hortense and George Rhodes; grandparents, Martha and Richard Bednar and Leona and Ike Konieczny; and Godmother, Patsy Parker.
