Obituary
Daniel Clint Krause, age 80, passed away on January 6, 2026, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy, Texas.
Daniel was born on April 29, 1945, in Brenham, Texas, to Henry and Louise Krause, Sr. He grew up in Brenham and graduated from Brenham High School, where he proudly played football. Daniel was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham, a faith that remained central to his life. He prayed every morning and found comfort and joy in watching Mass on television.
A proud United States Marine, Daniel carried the values of service, discipline, and loyalty throughout his life. He was known for his love of family and his devotion to staying connected, never missing a birthday phone call to his children and grandchildren. He was a jokester who loved to make his family laugh and brought joy wherever he went.
Daniel enjoyed the thrill of gambling, especially trips to Las Vegas and playing scratch-off tickets, celebrating enthusiastically when he won big. He also loved playing rummy, bourré, and dominoes. A true creature of habit, he savored his Dr. Pepper and faithfully saved his quarters.
An excellent cook, Daniel was famous for his barbecue and his beloved goulash. His home was always welcoming, stocked with everyone’s favorite cookies and drinks, and filled with laughter. Nothing made him happier than hearing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren lovingly call him “My Popo.”
Daniel Clint Krause will be remembered for his faith, his humor, his generosity, and his deep love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
