If yellow roses grow in heaven, Lord, pick a bunch for me ~ Place them in my daddy's arms & tell him they're from me~Tell him that I love & miss him, & when he turns to smile ~place a kiss upon his cheek & hold him for a while ~ Because remembering him is easy ~I do it everyday ~ There's still an ache within my heart that will never go away. Love you DADDY ..

My dearest Grandaddy,

You were such an example of a godly man and your integrity was amazing. You always had such a love for us and loved being with us kids. I always enjoyed spending time with you eating Blue Bell and drinking Dr. Pepper, listening to your stories and looking at all your keepsakes which were always organized so neatly. I will truly miss spending time with you, but I know that now you are spending time with our heavenly Father, one-on-one. You will forever be in my heart and I cling to the hope that I will be seeing you again in heaven. Thank you for being such a wonderful Grandaddy. I love you always!!
Meemaw, I love you so much and I pray for you daily that God will pour out His merciful grace on you during this time. I'm here if you need anything!

Love,

Dan and I worked together at the Baytown, Texas ExxonMobil Refinery for many years. We generally worked in different areas of the plant, but we also worked along side one another. I always respected his opinion, and his integrity. Dan hired in after I did. When he retired, I thought about all the machinists that would be retiring in the future, including me.
My prayers are with the family.

Dad, you are one of the most honorable men that I know. Your love for Jesus not only brought me to him, but all of my children as well. The Lord says that when we are absent from the body, that we are with him. I can’t begin to imagine what you are experiencing now. You are loved by many people, some who have already welcomed you home and some who you are now waiting for. I will miss you and think about you daily until I can hug you again. I also promise that I will try to live up to your example and be a good father and husband. We love you daddy.
