Obituary
Danny Byron Goss Jr., age 69, of Brenham, passed away on August 18, 2026.
Danny was born on September 26, 1956, in Beaumont, Texas, to Danny Byron Goss Sr. and Emma (Reddick) Goss. He grew up in Beaumont before later making his way to Caldwell, Texas. It was while living in Caldwell that Danny met his beautiful bride, Mildred Prince. The two were married on March 1, 1985 and were blessed with 41 years of marriage.
Danny later relocated to Giddings, where he worked as a truck driver for Advanced Hydro Carbon. After many years, he eventually settled in Brenham, where he made his home.
Danny found great enjoyment in the simple things in life. He loved spending time outdoors, often sitting on his porch and watching the wildlife around him. He also enjoyed spending time on the computer playing video games. His creativity often came through while gaming, as he would write his own stories inspired by the games he played and share them with his family.
Above all else, Danny was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who treasured the time spent with those he loved. His family held a special place in his heart and was something he cherished above everything else.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Danny Byron Goss Sr. and Emma (Reddick) Goss; and sister, Frances Goss.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mildred; children, Tonia Griffith, Byron T. Goss, and Anthony S. Goss, all of Brenham; granddaughter, Bella Wood; sister, Margaret Kelley of Converse; uncle, David Goss of Vidor; along with his precious nieces and other loving family members.
A memorial service for Danny will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, September 7, 2026 at First Baptist Church Brenham, 2715 S Market St, Brenham, Texas 77833, with Pastor Ross Shelton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel, 2300 Stringer St., Brenham, TX 77833. Phone number 979-836-3611. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.brenhammemorialchapel.com
