Deborah Novosad

On Saturday, May 8, 2021, Deborah Novosad, loving wife and mother of five children, passed away at the age of 68 surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with breast cancer.

Debbie was born on March 23, 1953 in Houston, Texas to Barbara and James Dickerson. On August 4, 1972, Debbie married the love of her life John Novosad. Together, they raised three daughters, Misty, Amber, and Chelsea, and two sons, Ryan and Zack. Debbie was a neonatal nurse at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

Above all else, Debbie had an immense passion for life and cared deeply for her family. She was loved and admired by all who met her, and even many of her children’s friends were treated by Debbie as part of her family. She enjoyed seeing her children and grandchildren succeed and was always there to lend an ear, offer encouragement and advice, and share a laugh with any who came to her for help and comfort. Always putting the needs of others first, Debbie was the cornerstone of her family; she always made sure that you were loved and respected, sharing in your joys and comforting your pains. Debbie also loved interior decorating, watching classic films, going on house tours, enjoying large dinners with her family, and enjoying the music, artwork, and creations that her family and friends would make.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, James, and her mother, Barbara. She is survived by her husband John, and her five children, Amber, Misty, Ryan, Chelsea, and Zack, her grandsons, Christopher, Gage, and Mack Henry, and her granddaughter, Rhiannon, and four sisters, Jo, Gail, Donna, and Denise.

A Celebration of Debbie’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021. A Gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:30 pm with the memorial service starting at 3:00 pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel located at 2300 Stringer Street, Brenham, Texas.
