Obituary

Denise-Rosan Ebert passed away peacefully on June11, 2021.

“Dana” as her loving husband of 60 years would call her, was born in Alexandria, Egypt on October 10, 1932, where her parents of European descent had immigrated in the Early 1900’s.

Denise briefly attended French and English-speaking schools, but spent the majority of her school years at the German Catholic School of Alexandria where she excelled and became proficient in several languages. She spoke Italian, French, German, Arabic and was self-taught in Spanish. As a girl, Denise spoke Greek with her grandmother and friends. She had a very unique accent when she spoke English which her friends and family loved to hear.

Denise and Harvey were married in Alexandria on December 30, 1954. They lived and worked in Egypt until 1958, when Harvey was transferred to Libya where they lived until 1972 with their two children Lisa and John.

Denise was a talented seamstress and had received a certificate of accomplishment from a fashion school in Paris for some of her designs. During the first years in the United States, she worked and designed many clothes for clients in the Houston region.

Harvey and Denise started Harvey’s Water Well Company in 1978, where Denise worked managing the business for many years.

Denise was preceded in death by her husband Harvey J. Ebert, Sr., parents Alexander and Mary Rosan and siblings Fernando, Augusto, Victor, Bruno, and Paula Rosan Abel.

Surviving family includes: her daughter Lisa Ebert-Stacey; son John Ebert and wife Linda; grandson Jamie John Ebert and wife Brook and their two children Addie Grace and Walker John; grandson Desmond Riley Traudt and special friend Lauren; nephew Stan Abel and wife Staci and their two sons Desmond and Christian; niece Diane Abel-Petan and husband Greg and their sons Jake and Jordan; nephew Henry Rosan and niece Marlena Rosan

Visitation for Denise Rosan-Ebert will be at Brenham Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 15th from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. A private family service for Denise will be held on Wednesday, June 16th with burial following at Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorials to be sent to Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church, 356 South Berlin Road, Brenham, TX 77833
