Dolores Murski

Dolores Murski, 80, of Brenham passed away on February 22, 2013 in Brenham.

She was born December 28, 1932 to Herman and Lillie (Thiel) Schwettmann in Washington County, Texas. Dolores was baptized on March 19, 1933 in the Salem Lutheran Church and confirmed on September 22, 1946 in the Ebenezer Lutheran Church. On July 18, 1970, she married David J. Murski in Houston, Texas. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Brenham and was active as a greeter, also with Women of Church, Heartline and had served as president of the Fellowship Committee. Dolores was a member of the Washington County Cattle Women's Association, and was also active with the American Legion and VFW. She enjoyed playing cards and dominos as well as working with her flowers.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband David on June 3, 1992.

Surviving family includes: daughters, Karen Krause Gurka and husband Alois, Dawn Lange and husband Billy; grandchildren, Steven Gurka, Lisa and James Lopez, Curtis and Amanda Gurka, Ty Lange, Alex Davis, Austin Lange; great-grandchildren, Travis Gurka, Kyle Gurka, Landon Gurka, Zachary Lopez, Avery Lopez, Kendal Gurka, Kayn Gurka.

A visitation will be held Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Groves officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.
