Obituary

My sweet wife, best friend, my love for sixty years, Dolores Murphey Tuttle left to be with God on June 2, 2012.

She was from Ardmore, Oklahoma and married me, John E. Tuttle, at age nineteen. After a stopover in Denver where our three wonderful children John, Donna, and Joy were born, Dolores was the family’s civil, civic, and parental guide over the next twelve years, at ten different locations in five different states including a year in The Hague, Netherlands. Back home in Texas, she rejuvenated her golf game and many social outlets at River Plantation County Club just outside Conroe—a delightful venue to raise our children. They are married now: Barbara Tuttle, Donna and Dr. Chuck Holt, Joy and Alan Stroud, each has two children: Julian and Preston, Travis and Caity, and Jonathon and Andrew. Dolores also enjoyed several years flying around the U.S., plus two trips to the U.K., Scotland and Ireland on Continental Airlines Freedom Passport Program. When that program ended summers, mid-June to mid-September, were spent in Keystone, Colorado and Park City, Utah staying cool, golfing, sightseeing, and entertaining family and friends. Such a life she lived with a little casino time built in.
Her last few years were the cottages at Kruse Village with many new friends and abundant enjoyable activities.

All are fortunate to have known this lovely lady. If remembrance, take your family out for a pleasant meal.
