Obituary


Funeral services for Dorothy Lea Fullilove Campbell, 89 of Giddings, Texas are scheduled for Friday, November 15, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel in Brenham, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel. The family will be present for visitation.

Dorothy Lea Fullilove Campbell was born January 2, 1930 in Old Gulf Matagorda County, Texas to James Lee Fullilove and Margaret Reaves Fullilove. She was baptized at First Baptist Church in Bay City, Texas. She attended San Marcos Baptist Academy in San Marcos, Texas.
She married W.C. “Bill” Campbell on September 13, 1947 at First Baptist Church in Bellville, Texas. They were blessed with 3 children Mark Wayne Campbell, Neil Allen Campbell and Sharon Lynn Campbell.

She worked as a service representative at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for many years.
During her time living in Brenham she was an active member of First Baptist Church of Brenham, Texas.

She was a member of Daughters of American Revolution, Fortnightly Club and Eastern Star. After moving to Burton, Texas she became an active member of the Christian Church of Burton. She also volunteered at the Texas Cotton Gin Museum.

She enjoyed getting together with friends for afternoons of drinking coffee and playing games like dominoes and rummikub and working in her flower beds. She had a green thumb when it came to her plants. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dorothy passed away the morning of Sunday November 10, 2019 at Bec’s Blessing in Giddings, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents James and Margaret Fullilove, her husband Bill Campbell, son Neil Campbell, daughter Sharon Campbell and grandson Justin Wayne Campbell.
She is survived by one son Mark Wayne and wife JoAnn Campbell, two granddaughters Megan Lynn and husband Walt Kieschnick, Marci Jo and husband Charley Baugh, four great grandchildren Madelyn Lea and Walker Andrew Kieschnick, Marley Ann and Tommy Case Baugh.
