Dorothy (Kiesewetter) Boenker

Dorothy Boenker, 87, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021.

Dorothy was born February 12, 1934 in Brenham to parents Robert and Caroline Meyer Kiesewetter. She was baptized and confirmed at Friedens United Church of Christ of Gay Hill. In 1952, she graduated from Brenham High School. Dorothy then worked in Houston for many years as a secretary for the Fuller Brush Company. She later retired from Brenham ISD after working 15 years as an aide. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and attending family gatherings.

Dorothy is preceded in death by parents and siblings, LeeRoy Kiesewetter, Robert Kiesewetter, Jr. Erwin Kiesewetter, Cecella May and Nancy Coghlan.

Surviving family includes husband Roberial Boenker, son Jack Boenker, grandson Jack “J.W.” Boenker and sister Ruth Bates.

Visitation with family will be Wednesday, April 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 29 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Brenham with Pastor Bobbie Maltas officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Cook, Kelton Swain, Conner Appelt, Roger Appelt, Jack Boenker, Jr., Daniel Stegent and Catfish.
