Obituary

Dr. Lois Perry Trahan Richardson, 71 of Brenham, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2005 in Spring Branch Memorial Hospital in Houston.

Lois was born on September 9, 1933 in Ft. Stockton, Texas to A. P. and Elva (Trimble) Perry. While living in Pasadena, she was a South Houston High School Distributive Education teacher. She received her PhD in Physiology from Texas A&M University. Dr. Richardson was a retired Director and Professor of the Vocational Educational Department at Blinn College. On December 16, 1990, she was united in marriage to Frank Richardson in the Brenham Church of Christ by Pastor David Mahan, where she remained a member. Her interests were quilting, genealogy and gardening.

Lois will be missed by many as she was an educator, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Lois’ battle with kidney disease was a tough struggle in which we will be forever grateful for her fighting, as it gave all of us more time with her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Joe, Clyde and Oran.

She is survived by her husband Frank Richardson of Brenham; daughters Geri Trahan of Pasadena, Trace Bannerman of Houston, Cynthia Bettinger and husband Robert of Pasadena, Andrea Vaughn and husband Paul of Pasadena; grandchildren Jason Eckler, Christopher and Angie Viator, Sarah Bullock, George Poe, Alexandria Bannerman, Michelle Bettinger, Emily Vaughn, Rebekah Bettinger, Macy Vaughn; great-granddaughter Jayla Viator.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Brenham Church of Christ followed by funeral services at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2005, with Bob Grigg officiating. Interment will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Chappell Hill.

Pallbearers are Jason Eckler, Christopher Viator, George Poe, Paul Vaughn, Robert Bettinger and Jim Bruce.

Memorials may be given to the Brenham Church of Christ.
