Dula (Lehmann) Schroeder

Dula (Lehmann) Schroeder, age 99, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012. She was born September 7, 1912 in Burton, Texas to Albert and Mary (Schawe) Lehmann. Dula was baptized November 18, 1912 and confirmed April, 1928 at Salem Lutheran Church by Pastor William Utesch. She attended Washington County School and Blinn College. After receiving her teaching degree, she taught at Wonder Hill Country School. She married Roy H. Schroeder and they were blessed with two sons Roy B. and Glen A. Schroeder. She worked at Weiner’s Department Store and Sinclair Bulk Plant in Brenham.

She was preceded in death by husband Roy H. Schroeder, brothers-in-law Raymond Winkelmann, Charlie Schroeder, Eddie Dreyer, sisters-in-law Lorene Dreyer and Irene Winkelmann.

Survivors include: sister Mary Dell Hueske; children Roy B. and Lorena Schroeder, Glen A. Schroeder; grandchildren Jay Schroeder and wife Krissy, Cas Schroeder, Kelly Flisowski and husband Kevin, Ryan B. Schroeder and wife Jennifer; great grandchildren Ana and Gunnison Schroeder, Karleigh and Kaden Flisowski and Rhett Schroeder; sister-in-law Edna Schroeder; nieces and nephews Milton Fred and wife Linda Hueske, Luther and wife Katie Hueske, Mary Ann and husband Paul Marshall; great nieces and nephews Cory Swor and husband Blake, Cassie Hueske, Wade Hueske, John Hueske; great great nephews Lawson and Cooper Swor; dear friend Ruth Kelling.

Visitation for family and friends is Wednesday, February 29 from 5 to 7 PM at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service is Thursday, March 1 at 10 AM at Grace Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jay Schroeder, Cas Schroeder, Kelly and Kevin Flisowski, Ryan B. Schroeder, and Milton Fred Hueske.

Memorials are suggested to Grace Lutheran Church or charity of choice.
