Edmond D. Hardin, Jr.

Just learned today, April 6, of Ed’s passing. Shocked and saddened that a good man has gone, but buoyed by the knowledge that he was comforted by family and faith. Although I hadn’t seen Ed in many years, I have fond memories of our time together as classmates in St. Louis and later as friends in Chicago when our collective kids were youngsters. We stood together as young fathers, pushed our kids on the playground swings, and enjoyed blue skies and the laughter of children. I hope he is again. Goodbye, old friend.

I had the good fortune to work with Ed at the start of his career upon his graduation from Washington University and to work with him in his role at Froedtert. A bright shining star in every sense of the word. His smiling face and sense of humor will be missed by so many. My condolences to Julie and their children.

Ed, my brother, you were a wonderful friend and truly inspired me in many ways. I can't believe you are gone, and it will take a long time for that to sink in. My sons miss you too. You connected with so many people and made our lives better. While I'm glad you are no longer in pain and I admire the incredible strength you showed, I wish you were still with us. Rest in peace my friend.

My sincere condolences to the family of Ed Hardin. Ed was a fellow member of the Council of Supply Chain Executives, and, although we only met once a year, Ed always exemplified his professionalism, his dedication and was a bright leading light to his fellow members. He will be missed but never forgotten.
