Edward Bednarek

Edward “Uncle” Bednarek age 80 of Chappell Hill and formerly of Houston passed away Monday, September 12, 2005 at Kruse Memorial Lutheran Village.

Edward was born September 3, 1925 in Chappell Hill, Texas to Antoni J. and Helen B. (Cegelski) Bednarek. He attended the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church School, took his first holy communion on May 26, 1935 and remained a member of the church. Edward resided in Chappell Hill most of his life but lived in Houston for many years where he was employed as a forklift operator for American Can Company prior to his retirement.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Natalie Kaminski Bednarek.

Survivors include his brother Stanley Bednarek of Brenham; sister Edwina Bednarek Kaminski and husband Edmond of Chappell Hill; nieces and nephews Albert Bednarek, Patricia Lange, Barbara Walton, Paul Kaminski, Dorothy Maurer, Linda Grimm, Christopher Kaminski and Kimberly Kaminski along with great nieces and great nephews.

The Rosary will be recited by Father Leonard Onwumere at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2005 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill with Monsignor Benedict Zientek and Father Leonard Onwumere as con-celebrants. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers are Christopher Kaminski, Paul Kaminski, Albert Bednarek, Kenneth Lange, Douglas Maurer, Donald Walton and Jeff Grimm. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Walton, Joshua Bednarek, Joshua Kaminski, Cody Kaminski and Austin Grimm.
