Obituary

Edward Harold Turbeville, 65, of Brenham, Texas entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2021 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Edward was born on June 19, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas to Julia and Edward Gamage.

Edward grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from Lamar High School. He later attended the Plumbers Local 68 Union apprenticeship program. Edward worked for several companies as a plumber and spent the majority of his career at Humphrey Company LTD Mechanical Contractor in Houston, TX until his accident in 1990. Edward was not only a gifted plumber but also an expert welder and draftsman.

In 1988, Ed met the love of his life Stephanie Diane Graham, he proposed to her a year later and they were married June 9, 1990. In 1994, Ed and Stephanie purchased their beautiful ranch in Brenham, TX where they raised their two children, Tiffany and Austin. Ed loved spending time outdoors where he spent hours on his tractors mowing pastures and cutting and bailing hay for his cattle.

Ed’s passions in life were spending time with his family, flying planes, attending the NHRA drag races, deep sea fishing, spending time on the water and traveling in his motorcoach with his family. He had a love of horses early on and later he and Stephanie joined the Texas Quarter Horse Association and began racing horses. Ed’s favorite quarter horse, “Doc Colby” qualified for the All American Futurity and then went on to place 8th in this race. Watching one of his horses compete in a National race was just one of the three wishes he desired to achieve. He fulfilled the second last year with a road trip to see the Grand Canyon with his family in their new motorcoach. He was not able to attend the World Series which was his third wish.

Edward was a very intelligent and brave man. He endured much but faced life’s challenges head on with extreme courage. He strived to live life to the fullest always with Stephanie by his side.
