Obituary

Eleanor Beattie Denker passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2009.

She was born in the family farmhouse in Forrest, Illinois as was her mother. She loved her farm, but Texas has been her home since the 1940’s. She was a faithful member of Lakewood United Methodist Church and the Rebecca Circle at LUMC until her health prevented her from attending. Also, she was a member of Houston Heights O.E.S. Chapter 258.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Edna Beattie, brother, Chalmer Beattie and grandson, Patrick Denker. She is survived by her son, Bob Denker and wife Mary, her daughter, Paula Frances and husband Philip, son, Bill Denker and friend Zelda Whatley; her grandchildren, Ray Farris and wife Diane, Michael Farris and wife Kim, Russell Farris and fiancée Hollie Selman, Paul Denker and fiancée Lourdes Watkins and Mark Denker and wife Andrea. She had 12 great-grandchildren that brought her much joy. In addition, she is survived by a niece Mary Ann Denker, nephews, Don Denker, John Denker and Alan Denker.

Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Thursday, July 9th, 2009 at Lakewood United Methodist Church where services will be held at 11:00 AM with Dr. C. Chappell Temple officiating. A reception hosted by the Rebecca Circle of LUMC will be held at the church immediately following the service. The committal service will follow at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery Mausoleum at 1:30 PM.

The family would like to thank all her caregivers over the years and especially Dr. Stayton Halberdier and his staff at Houston Northwest Primary Care.
