Obituary

Ella Blome Kramer, 99, went to be with her Lord Sunday morning, February 4, 2018 in Keller, Texas.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7 at Brenham Memorial Chapel from 5-7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastors Phil Fenton and Briana Merkle officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

She was born January 31, 1919 in Washington County, Texas to William Blome Jr. and Louise Dierking Blome. She was baptized March 30, 1919 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wiedeville, Texas. Ella was confirmed March 25, 1934 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Sandy Hill, Texas. On September 22, 1937, she married the love of her life, Harold O. Kramer, at St. Matthew in Sandy Hill.

Ella and Harold operated K&N Root Beer. There they served 5 cent root beer and 30 cent hamburgers for many hungry customers. Later, Ella worked as a saleslady at Weiner’s Department Store for 33 years. Ella loved to play Pitch. Any family gathering always included lively games where Ella was always the scorekeeper.

Ella is survived by: her 3 loving sons and their families; Ray and Maggie of Burleson, Denny and Gayle of North Richland Hills, and Paul and Peggy of Brenham; grandchildren, Kendall Kramer and Liz Cochran, Jason and Kerri Kramer, Kisha and Tad Wilburn, Jeremy and Danielle Kramer, Chad and Melissa Kramer, and Rachel and Daniel Phife; great-grandchildren, Clinton Kramer, Christian Kramer, Victoria Kramer, Kade Kramer, Madison Wilburn, Elizabeth Kramer, Finley Kramer, Cole Kramer, Kasch Kramer, Amiah Phife, and Ainsley Phife; brother and sister-in-law, Wilfred and Gerdine Blome; and sister-in-law Ida Mae Wubbenhorst.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold and great-granddaughter Jean Marie Kramer.

Serving as pallbearers will be her six grandsons: Kendall, Jason, Chad, and Jeremy Kramer, Tad Wilburn, and Daniel Phife.

In memory of Ella, memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Building Program or the Washington County Senior Citizens Center.
