Elvira was a very giving person. She volunteered time at Fishes and Loaves and quilted with Martin Luther Lutheran and St. John UCC church quilting groups.

She was a lifelong and the oldest member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church of Carmine. She was also a member of Burton Hermann Sons Life, Burton Fire Dept. Auxiliary, and Martin Luther Ladies Aide.

Elvira enjoyed playing dominoes with the 42 Club in Carmine.
