Emma Bell Steinfeld

Emma Bell Steinfeld, 84, and the wife of Leroy Steinfeld passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Trinity Care Center.

Mrs. Steinfeld was born January 28, 1924 to Ed and Minnie (Schneider) Loesch. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn. On January 11, 1948 she married Leroy Steinfeld also at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. She was employed as a cook at Santa Fe Café and enjoyed cooking and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Leroy Steinfeld; sons and daughter-in-law Roy Steinfeld and Randy and Cathie Steinfeld all of Brenham; grandchildren, Kristy Lange and husband Joshua, Candice Steinfeld and spouse J. T. Naylor, Michael Steinfeld and spouse Jessica Stanfield, Wade Steinfeld, Jason Steinfeld and wife Ashley, James Steinfeld and wife Heather; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Carrie Mae Wellmann, Leatrice Kapchinski, and Gladys Steinfeld all of Brenham.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service for Emma Bell Steinfeld will be Friday, March 14, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill with Pastor David Hansen officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
