Esther (Jozwiak) Skweres, age 84, of Chappell Hill, passed away on December 27, 2019.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Brenham Memorial Chapel, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2020, with Father Jozef Musiol, SDS, JCD as celebrant.

Esther Agnes Jozwiak was born on December 29, 1934, to parents Joe and Frances (Nowak) Jozwiak of Chappell Hill. Esther grew up with her four siblings in Chappell Hill. She attended Chappell Hill schools.

On October 25, 1952, Esther was united in marriage with Wallace Albert Skweres, Jr., at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. They made their home in Houston and raised their children.

After being widowed at a young age in 1970, Esther began her employment at Wallace Computer Services. She worked there until her retirement.

Esther enjoyed crafts and was very artistic. She was especially fond of her past and present furry family members – dog companions Chantel, Kelly, Kayla, and Bootsie the Cat. Esther had a wonderful smile and a great sense of humor. She could always be counted on to “tell it like it is”! Esther was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend to many.

Surviving loving family includes son Billy Joe Skweres and wife Sue; grandsons Blake and Zachary Skweres; sister Blanche Kolajajak, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Esther will be reunited in Heaven with her husband Wallace Skweres Jr., son Donald Gene Skweres, and Honorary Pallbearers Sonny Pomilla and Tommy Dorcz.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Dorcz, Julian Kubeczka, Richard Kaucher, Blake Skweres, Donald Sander, Zachary Skweres, Bennie Meleski, and David McFarland.
