Esther Danhaus Wetherington

Esther D. Wetherington, 86 of Brenham, died Saturday, May 15, 2004 in Bluebonnet Hills Nursing Home.

Esther was born June 14, 1917 in the Phillipsburg community to Robert and Lena (Walters) Danhaus. She was married to J.S. Wetherington, Jr. and was a homemaker.

Survivors include: daughter, Ruth Overby of Brenham; grandchildren, Debra Overby, James and Christine Overby, David Overby; great grandchildren, Brian Lee, Jon Rios, Gabrielle Rios, Richard Overby, Keith Overby, James Overby, Madeline Overby; brother, John Danhaus of Brenham; and sister-in-law, Martha Danhaus of Brenham.

She was preceded in death by: parents; husband, J.S. Wetherington, Jr. in 1988; brothers, Louis, Arnold, Robert, Erwin, E.J.; and sister, Katherine Gall; and special cousin and his family Robert Gall of Weimar.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2004 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2004 in Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Embry officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Gall, Lance Gall, Troy Gall, Johnny Poston, Ernest Hunt, Donald Lee.
