Since we didn't have kindergarten, we learned all we needed to know in Miss Louise Giddings' first grade. Everything after that was just icing on the cake. ("Alamo, Alamo, Alamo School, we love you. . .")
I will miss you, Hoss. Keep everyone at the party smiling, and tell no secrets -- unless it brings a laugh!

To Gene's family,
Gene was special to me from our early years at Alamo School. Since my birthday was the 28th of February and his was the 29th, our Mother's planned our parties together. Since Gene had a birthday every four years; he remained forever "young"; he also remained forever caring. I cherish the childhood memories and am deeply grieved for your loss. He will certainly be missed. May the Lord bless you and give you peace during this time of sorrow and longing.

We are so sorry that we were in Phoenix and unable to attend Gene's services at the Elks. Gene was a very long-time friend of ours. He was in our wedding 35 years ago. We will miss him.

To LaFleur----1957 and 1958: your orange and cream Mercury, the Guys & Dolls Dances, the Starlite Drive In, your being a disc jockey with KWHI, you hauling our "gang" around, parties at Sharecropper, etc., etc., etc. How can that be nearly 50 years ago?!?! THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES........with love, Fritzi

Gene,
Goodness is true beauty and you are one handsome cowboy. I know you are in a wonderful place today, I see you walking around heaven surrounded by old friends and your aloted 72 virgins, probably looking for the beer cart lady, now you don't have to drink that lame light stuff. I miss you and look forward to seeing you down the road. My sincere condolences to all who knew and loved you.

"At the end of life, if there is just one person that calls you friend, then that is a life well lived."
Always,
Diane

Dear Cindy,

Please know that you and your children are in my thoughts and prayers. I, like everyone who knew Gene, will miss him. He left all of us with some very happy and fond memories. As you know, he was loved and respected by eveyone who knew him and let us pray that he is in God's hands along with his friends and loved ones who have already left us.
