Florane “Floyd” Kubeczka

Florane “Floyd” Kubeczka, 77 of Chappell Hill, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 19 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Chappell Hill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Florane was born April 26, 1940 in Chappell Hill to parents Max and Helen (Bartkowiak) Kubeczka. He attended Old Washington School. On November 25, 1961 he was married to Lucille Stegint in Hempstead. Florane worked for Maddox Furniture and Sealy Mattress from where he retired and then became a rancher. He was a life-long member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, member of Knights of Columbus Council #11277 and St. Stanislaus financial committee. His favorite pastime was fishing.

He is survived by his loving family: children, Delores and Shelby Brady of Chappell Hill; Susan and John Heflin of New Braunfels; grandchildren, Wesley Brady, Matthew Brady, Candice Martin and husband Wade Martin, Corey Heflin; great grandchildren, Riley Jo and Charleigh June; brothers and sister-in-law, Clem and Mary Kubeczka and Raymond Kubeczka all of Brenham; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Shirley Acock of Hempstead, Cathy Stegint of Chappell Hill, Joe and Elizabeth Stegint of Rosenberg, David Stegint of Houston along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lucille Kubeczka on Feb. 24, 2001, grandson Travis Wayne Heflin on Feb. 6, 2007.

Memorials may be given to Mass Offerings at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
