Floyd was one of my favorite people. I ran most every day at noon from the state school and we had many a grand visits as Floyd would stop me to tell a story. I cherish my memories of him. God's blessings to Floyd's family. Rick Carroll

Ruby, Donna, Connie & Nelson:

Please accept my most sincere sympathy for the recent passing of Mr. Kobs. Having grown-up next to the Sanders on Stone St., we always were up to date on the happenings at the Kobs house.

Floyd was a very hard working man. Once I helped him haul hay until 2:30 AM. That was a long day. Needless to say, that was the last time I did that.

Time changes everything and it moves on regardless of what we do, but the memories remain. I will always have fond memories of your family and I pray that you will remember only the good times as you work thru this difficult time.

May God's love surround you always.

Dear Kobs'family,

I anjoyed reading about Floyd's life. I really think I heard him perform since 2006 as well as many times before at nursing homes. Everone always came out and at least patted a foot. He was very popular and dedicated. God Bless your family.

Dear Ruby, Donna, Connie, and Nelson,
My deepest heartfelt sympathy to you all. I remember Floyd and you all as I was growing up. Our family visits to your home, and yours to ours, bring back such wonderful blessed memories.
When Uncle Charles called me before church on a Sunday morning, I knew that the call had to bear sad news. Unfortunatrely it was the loss of a dear childhood friend.
It will be a year on January 18th that Momma went to be with our Lord, and I know that she was there waiting with a huge smile for her friend Floyd as Jesus welcomed him Home.
Sincerely Yours,
Kathy Pomykal Preston

Dear Kobs Family - Please know that we are remembering you at this difficult time. Donna has kept me informed on facebook for which we are grateful. I know Larry certainly enjoyed knowing Mr. Kobs, and having known all of you for years, he married a lovely lady, inside and out, and raised a beautiful family. May God's peace and comfort reside with you now and in the days to come. John 14:1-3.

Nelson,

My deepest condolences to you and your family. The Obituary was very interesting as I visit Bear Creak Park in the Addicks Reservoir quite often and that it protects Buffalo Bayou from flooding - I live downstream. Amazing how lives are connected.

With simpathy,

Neal Naumann and family.

Ruby and Donna, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that God's peace be with you. We will all certainly miss Floyd. Our grandson, Hayden, says he is glad he got to know Mr. Kobs. He remembers the little jeep you and Mr. Kobs gave to him when he was 5 years old. It doesn't seem that long ago. We are all blessed to know him. Love and Prayers Donna, David, and Hayden May

Dear Kobs Family,
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Floyd Kobs was such a kind and caring man. And he had his beautiful wife Ruby beside him always. Have not seen the Kobs for many years since I left Brenham, but I will always remember the great love and devotion that they had for each other. They raised 3 wonderful children together.
Love and peace to all of you. Take care.

Floyd was a dear friend both to my husband (now deceased) and myself. He shared his life and whatever he had with us and others. Most memorable was his homemade sausage. We shared many good times with him and his wonderful wife, Ruby. Their marriage was truly one made in heaven and they were devoted to one another their entire marriage. Floyd will be missed but he's in heaven now and playing his accordian with a big smile on his face. My love and sympathy to the entire Kobs family. Love you.
