Schultz Family, I am deeply sorry to hear of Fred’s passing. I knew Fred for about 35 years. We worked together in the building material industry. As our lives grew apart, we always seemed to reconnect. I am most grateful that we took the time to call each other and share current events going on in our families. We had good discussions about woodworking and of course his latest fishing trips down South. One of my most memorable fishing trips was with Fred and his Pop’s down the Arroyo. When I mentioned to Fred, I had some pictures from this trip he made me text him every picture. We relived that trip for at least an hour or so. Good times…

You will be missed my Amigo.

Cameron, please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your father. I am sorry. I was your third grade teacher many years ago. I still remember how athletic and hardworking you were in class and on the playground. You were involved in sports. But what stands out the most was how your dad (your mom too) insisted that you worked hard in the classroom first. He expected you to be polite and respectful to your teachers. Your parents were so supportive of your education.

Brenda, I am so sorry. I am holding you in my thoughts, hearts and prayers. Tuck those fond memories in your heart. No one can take those away from you. May they bring comfort on those dark days.

My sympathy,

My condolences to the Schultz family. Fred was an outstanding influence in my life while we attended Sharyland High School. We were in FFA together, and he really made it memorable! I will never forget what a kind person he was to me. I feel blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing him.

I hope it gives his family comfort in knowing that he touched lives through his goodness. I may not have crossed paths with him after high school, but I never forgot him.

I wish I could be with you to help bear your heavy burden in the short term, but I'm stuck here in Temple until Monday. In the long term, I am free of this Temple job on May 23 and would be ready to help in any way I can. Stay strong in your faith knowing he's in a better place now, not hurting in any way.
Peace be with you always. Philip Z

Fred was the embodiment of a selfless servant who gave his all to everyone he knew, especially Aggies and cadets from Savage Six Flying Tigers. In the fall of 1989, as a fish in the Corps, my buddies and I were invited to come relax at an old Ag's property where we were encouraged to build a campfire, cook some chili and decompress - that old Ag's name was Fred Schultz, Class of '83. I knew Fred for almost 33 years and I never heard him balk at helping someone out if he had the means to. His heart was as big as the Texas A&M University campus, and he will be sorely missed.

Mr. Schultz was a true mentor, confidante, friend, and great man to seemingly everyone he met—even better if you were a Savage Six Flying Tiger. My wife & I are blessed to think we are counted amongst those for whom he cared for, and we too are saddened beyond belief to hear of his passing. We will be praying for you, his dear family—to your health, to your comfort, and to your healing. He is gone but not forgotten.

I will never forget Mr. Shultz's hospitality to the 2022-2023 Sq-6 Cadre at their annual FOW dinner. It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of the last group of cadets he hosted for dinner. The stories, advice, and wisdom shared will continue to go on and affect years and years of Savages. When a group of us also went to visit him while in rehab we also saw how much he cared about us all he wanted to talk about was us and how the outfit was doing. He was truly the embodiment of what an Aggie is. Eternal rest grant unto him, o Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
