Gloria Ashorn Garrett, 94, of University City, Missouri, passed away June 8, 2006 at her residence.
She was born August 30, 1911 to Edmund Ashorn, Sr. and Emma Findeisen Ashorn in Austin county. Mrs. Garrett was married to James Garrett. She worked as a licensed practical nurse.
Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Louise Houston Riggs; sons, John Stephen Garrett and David George Garrett; brothers, Edmond Ashorn, Jr., Walter Ashorn, and Herbert Ashorn.
She is survived by sons, James Truett Garrett of Houston, Daniel Garrett of Nepal; daughters, Frances Connell of Silver Springs, Maryland, Evelyn Wright of Fair Oaks, California, Eloise McGinnis of Fredricksburg, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sister, Lillian Wilhelm of Hamilton, Texas.
Graveside services will be Sunday, June 11, 2006 at 2:00 PM in New Ulm Cemetery with Rev. Calvin Beckendorf officiating.
