Obituary

Hattie Reisner Seidel passed away August 18, 2013. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 20th from 6-8 p.m. with rosary recited at 7 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, August, 21st at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Ernesto Elizondo as celebrant. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Hattie was born October 24, 1914 in Burton, Texas to Steve and Frances (Andrejczak) Reisner. She was baptized in St. Mary’s Catholic Church October 27, 1914 by Father Michal J. Tabor and confirmed by Msgr. Charles Weisnerowski. She was married to Ernest W. Seidel on June 8, 1940 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church by Msgr. Charles Weisnerowski.

She was a life-long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She worked with St. Mary’s P.C. of Catholic Women as well as other church organizations and enjoyed Golden Agers.

Hattie attended St. Mary’s Parochial School and Brenham Public School. For 20 years, she was employed by Weiner’s Department Store.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Eddie Reisner.

Hattie is survived by: a son, Eddie Joe Seidel and wife Gloria of Keller, Texas; daughter Sally Meyer and husband Dale of Brenham; sister-in-law, Emaline Reisner of Harker Heights; grandchildren, John Stephen Seidel and wife Julie of Fort Worth, Sheri Morrison and husband Brett of Burleson; great-grandchildren, Cody Seidel and Sara Morrison.
