Obituary

Herbert L. Schramm went to his Heavenly home early Saturday morning, August 9, 2025. He was born September 8, 1943 to Herbert and Emma (Drevojanek) Schramm. Herbert was a man of God, strong in his faith. He always had his bible with him. Herbert was a very caring husband and father to his wife Leona and his children.

Herbert loved playing his guitar, as well as fishing and traveling with his wife Leona to places like the Hill Country, and especially the coast area in Rockport. They made such Great memories. He retired from Blue Bell Creameries after 24 years. Herbert was a fun loving husband and dad who liked to joke around. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. When able, he would be at the grandchildren’s school programs and recitals. Herbert also loved gardening and some farming. He loved watching the animal wildlife and wildflowers, especially the rabbits in their yard. Herbert’s special time was in the mornings having coffee with his wife.

Herbert leaves to cherish his memories wife Leona Schramm, daughter Lillian (Kee) Yelenic, sons Edward Schramm, Robert (Krisinia) Schramm; grandchildren Misty (Steve) Kacal, Jaci (Will) Crowder, Kristin (Josh) Todd, Cameron (Jocelyn) Schramm, Cara (Nathan) Martinez, Karl (special friend Lacey Pattie) Yelenic; great-grandchildren Aiden Dozier, Carter Dozier, Ella Kacal, Hannah Kacal, Khadyn Crowder, Arya Crowder, Emery Crowder, Avery Crowder, Aiden Martinez and Gabriel Martinez; brother Delbert (Malinda) Schramm; brothers-in-law David Schmidt and Leland (Marilyn) Moeller, and sister-in-law Mary (Rick) Mikulenka; numerous nieces and nephews.

Herbert is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Emma Schramm, son John Schramm, infant granddaughter Jennifer Schramm, parents-in-law Frank and Lillie Moeller, and sister-in-law Elvera Schmidt.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 8am until 6pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Family will be present from 4pm until 6pm, with Rosary to follow.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Church in Industry, Texas beginning at 10am. Interment will take place at the Immaculate Conception Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a charity of choice.
