Sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. I didn't find out until after the funeral. May God give you peace during this time. I have many great memories of the cafe etc.

Wayne and I were saddened to hear of the death of Uncle Minnie. We remember the last time we saw him as he was sitting on his front porch having a beer. One of our granddaughters was with us, and we had a wonderful time with him. We are sorry that we were unable to attend his service, but we did not get the information in time to come. We will remember him with a memorial gift to the church. You are all in our prayers as you grieve your loss.

Our sincere sympathy goes out to all of you upon the loss of "Minnie". He was a kind and wonderful gentleman, one whom we will always cherish in our hearts. May God grant you peace and comfort as you cope with the loss of this precious child of God.

The thoughts of the Conines are with you. We loved Uncle Minnie and my dad has wonderful tales of his childhood with all of Meemaws family. Great picture in this obituary. Wish we were there.

Dear Larry and family:

I guess you know how much your mom and dad meant to me. I used to drive home from Seguin to work a weekend at the cafe. Your mom would let me take as many tables as I could handle so I'd get lots of tips. It never dawned on me that I was taking her tips!

To this day my BBQ-meter is calibrated with Mr. Birkelbach's BBQ= the best!

He will be missed and not soon forgotten.

Manny, that's the way I would spell it, and all of his brothers and sisters were very special friends to our family. He was a gentleman and a scholar. I so much enjoyed his company and many conversations. I never could beat him at skat, but that is no surprise, as he was so good at it !! My condolences to you. He will always remain a very special friend.
