Hildegarde Hill Ehlert

Hildegarde Hill Ehlert, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2004 at Trinity Medical Center in Brenham, Texas.

Hildegarde was born in Thrall, Texas on August 26, 1929 to Annie Louise (Leudtke) and Paul Anthony Frisch, the youngest of eleven children. She was a graduate of Thrall High School and attended Nixon Clay Commercial College in Austin, Texas; thereafter she worked as a secretary in Austin and Houston. Hildegarde moved to Brenham, Texas in 1978 after marrying William J. Ehlert and became a member of the Brenham Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her children: son, Greg and Karen Hill of Sugarland, Texas; daughter, Jan Hill of Santa Barbara, California; Bill and Cassandra Ehlert, Paul and Rhonda Ehlert, and John and Becky Ehlert, all of Brenham; grandchildren, Robert and James Hill; Kris, Mary, Amy, Michael, Cole and Matthew Ehlert; sisters, Renatta Townsend of Corpus Christi, Texas, Polly and Les Ross of Houston, Texas; sister-in-law, Gloria Ehlert of Brenham; numerous nieces, nephews and a world of friends.

Hildegarde was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 4 sisters, her first husband, Reginald M. Hill in 1969 and her second husband William J. Ehlert in 1999.

Her family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2004 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2004 in the Brenham Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mac McIver officiating.

Pallbearers include Robert L. Reagan, Herbert Honea, Luther Utesch, Maurice Trostle, Paul LaRoche, Jack Appel, Edmund Duckworth, A.C. Miller, and Thomas Mann.

Memorial donations may be given to a charity of your choice.
