We are so sorry to hear about Mrs. Mertz. Our families had many great times together. I guess Bill, Lillie Mae, Lee and Totsie are setting around talking about the days when we all went fishing together...

Dear Julia and Albert,
Marta and Clifton

We are sorry for the loss of your beloved mother and grandmother, Irene. Though we didn't have the pleasure of meeting her, from Marta's descriptions we picture a very gracious, loving and caring lady. Though she will be sorely missed, our wish is that the memories generated during the time that the Good Lord blessed you with her presence will somewhat offset the sorrow.

Dear Julia and Albert,

I wanted you to know what a blessing it has been for me to have had Nana in my life. Having lost all of my biological grandparents, I always felt that Nana had become my surrogate grandmother. She was always ready with a big smile and warm hug each time I would visit her and I am forever amazed how she simply folded me into her family as if I had always been one of her grandchildren.

I was blessed to have known Nana with her sharp mind and witty sense of humor, her unconditional love especially with family dinners, seeing much she enjoyed playing ball with Autumn. I will always remember how much she loved Emerald and Autumn so very much and how they meant the world to her.

I was very happy that John had the chance to meet her on a happy day that I will never forget. Emerald's last birthday where that sweet woman so enjoyed every bite of her 3 pieces of chocolate cake.

Nana will be greatly missed by all of us and though we are sad at her leaving, we have peace as well knowing she is now in heaven where we will see her again.

I love you Nana and will never forget you...
