James Earl Mackey - Guestbook

Earl was one of the kindest people I ever knew, a true gentleman. There was lots of fun also. He and my brother were very close lifelong friends. He got another brother his first job which led to a long-term job. My brother, sister and I enjoyed playing in the band at St. Vincent de Paul School and Marian High School. Thank you, God for the gift of Earl. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. God grant consolation to Bryant and Debbie and all of his family and friends. Enjoy sharing those memories.

Bryant and family: I was so sorry to hear of your brother's passing. Though I didn't know him, I know you well enough to realize that he had to be a good person. I've really admired you and your family for a long time! Please let "Jesus Take the Wheel" during this time as He guides you through the difficult days ahead. I'm sending love and hugs to all of you!

I have known Earl since grade school. He still lives in all whose lives he touched. He truly was a life long friend. It is true that he moved to the west coast, but his spirit will always reside in Southside Place, Texas. He was the Earl of Southside, and there didn't even have to be a formal coronation ceremony. Welcome home "Big E".
