Obituary

James Richard Cloud, 65, passed away in the presence of family on June 1st 2012 in the Med at College Station, Texas.

A viewing will be held at the Brenham Memorial Chapel from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, June 8th 2012, followed by a funeral service at 1pm on Saturday, June 9th. Pallbearers are Luke Cloud, Daniel Cloud, Matthew Cloud, David Cloud, John Cloud, Cory Marsh, Eric Wargo and Justin Fultz.

Jim was survived by his wife Kathy, his children Luke and wife Junna, his son Daniel, his daughter Jillian, his two grandchildren, Jacob and Marcus, his mother Gloria, his brother Thomas, and numerous extended family members, including aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jim was preceded in death by his father Thomas and his brother John.

Jim was born in Port Arthur, Texas on September 29th, 1946, and moved to Austin, Texas in 1949. He graduated from McCallum High School in 1964, and received a BS degree from the University Of Texas School Of Nursing.

Jim was a veteran of the USMC, an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast, a prayer warrior, and a lover of God’s word. The world was a brighter place with him in it, and is missing something precious now that he is gone. He moved to Brenham, Texas 3 years ago to pursue a career at the Brenham State Supported Living Center. He first served there as nurse manager and then became the hospital liaison. In this role he was able to speak for those who could not speak for themselves and ensure their care was both compassionate and professional, a job which he loved. His passion was the intercessory prayer ministry, which he helped start and helped others become strong leaders and intercessors in turn.

The family would like to thank the Med center staff for their compassionate and sensitive care, especially during those last difficult days.

He is fiercely loved, and will be greatly missed.

Memorials may be given to GlobeLink Foundation, 706 N. Lindenwood Dr., Suite 100, Olathe, KS 66062-1839.
