Obituary
Janet Langston Wilson, 60 of Brenham, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at her residence.
Born in Oakridge, Tennessee on September 2, 1944 to parents Charles and Martha (Neale) Langston. Janet graduated as valedictorian from Hockaday High School in Dallas, graduated with honors from Rice University in Houston and received her masters at Houston Baptist University. On July 1, 1965 she married Robert S. “Bob” Wilson in Dallas. She was a certified property manager, commercial investment manager and licensed real estate broker. Janet was also a licensed family counselor, and member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church where she also served on the altar guild.
Janet was a devoted wife and mother, a creative and loving person who was dedicated to livelong learning and was admired for her intellect and caring. She loved the outdoors, gardening and animals, especially her companion “Scooter”, and loved spending quality time in Carmel, California with many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Martha Jean Tips and nephew David Tips.
Her loving family includes husband Robert S. “Bob” Wilson of Brenham; daughters Laura Lynne Wilson of Pacifica, California and Kathryn Langston Wilson of Houston; brother-in-law David Tips of Dallas; niece Jeanene Wilson of Houston and nephew Danny Tips of Dallas.
Visitation with the Wilson family will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2005 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 22, 2005 at 3 p.m. in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Brenham. Rev. Cecilia B. Smith will officiate.
