JD Hurta

J D (Jeffrey Daniel) Hurta, 23, of Brenham, passed away September 12, 2008 at his home.

JD was born on May 8, 1985 in Humble, Texas to Rusty and Mary (Koby) Hurta. He graduated from Brenham High School in 2003. JD worked at Auto Zone while waiting to enter Wyoming Tech to pursue his dream of owning his own custom car “chop shop", when he was diagnosed with cancer in January 2005.

He is survived by his parents; sister Katie Hurta; soon-to-be-brother Joe Woodward; his “cool mom” Aunt Annie Koby; his No. 1 girl Lindsay Millett; along with numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers of other mothers, friends, and an amazing number of people who prayed for JD during his journey with cancer.

A Celebration of Life for JD will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Brenham High School. (Remember that JD lived life casually, so please dress comfortably.)
