Jerry Lee Stretch

Jerry Stretch, 80, of Brenham passed from this life on Monday, November 4th, 2026.

Jerry was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving his time as a sonar man aboard the submarine USS Trigger. Later he worked in multiple TV stations throughout Louisiana as a photographer, reporter and anchor person. He then entered the computer industry which brought him to Brenham, TX with Industry Telephone and Internet Company from which he retired. Jerry always loved a hot cup of coffee that never seemed to run dry.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Billye Jean Stretch and two infant siblings.

Those left to cherish a lifetime of memories include his wife, Cheryl, daughter, Jolie (Dan) Land, son, Joel (Amanda) Stretch, sisters Patricia Jones, Terri (Steve) Hill and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church in Brenham or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Services for Jerry will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church, 2000 FM 389, Brenham, TX 77833 at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November, 10th 2026.
