John Nowak, Jr.

John Nowak, Jr., 39, of Brenham, passed away Friday, December 28, 2007 in Bellville General Hospital.

He was born July 6, 1968 in Brenham to Johnny Henry and Rosalie (Ramirez) Nowak. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Mary’s Catholic Church and baptized in 2006 in Brenham Church of Christ, where he was a member. John was a graduate of Brenham High School and Blinn College. At Blinn, he was on the dean’s list in 1994 and1995. He was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and PTK Hall of Honor. He served as PTK District 3 Vice President and on the US All American second Academic Team. He worked as a pharmacy technician.

John was preceded in death by his mother and grandfathers.

Survivors include: father Johnny Nowak, Sr. of Porter, TX; brothers Ronnie Sherry and Rickey Sherry both of Houston; sister Brandy Chiavaroli of Canton, Ohio; grandmothers Helen M. Nowak and Josephine Ramirez; aunts, uncles, cousins and special pet Abigail.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2008 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2008 in Brenham Church of Christ, 2800 Victory Lane, Brenham, TX 77833 with Minister Doug Hall officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jason Schulze, Dustan Schulze, Jeff Nowak, Ronnie Sherry, Rickey Sherry and Gilbert Stuart.

In lieu of flowers, and to help to defray the funeral costs, memorials are requested be given to Brenham Church of Christ, c/o John Nowak, Jr. Memorial Fund, 2800 Victory Lane, Brenham, TX 77833
