Obituary
John Swonke, age 84, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 at College Station Medical Center in College Station, Texas.
His family includes brother & sister-in-law Eugene and Eleanor Swonke of Brenham, Texas; brother Martin Swonke of the Christian Brothers Religious Order in Santa Fe, New Mexico; sisters and brother-in-law Mary Herzog of Plantersville and Suzanne and Ted Hoffart of Dobbin, Texas; along with nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 24 from 4-7pm with Rosary recited at 7pm.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 25 at 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel, 2300 Stringer St., Brenham, TX.
