Obituary

Joseph Panin Moore, Joe', 'Dad', 'Papa', went home to be with his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, June 2, 2023. Joe was born April 21,1930, in Somers Point, New Jersey, to Robert and Alice Moore. As a child and young man he migrated his way to Houston, Texas, by way of Illinois, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

At 17, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was discharged two years later. A year later he was recalled into the Air Force and stationed at Ellington Air Base, a drill sergeant for a year. After discharge he worked two years before he decided to use his G.I. bill to attend college in San Marcos, Texas. On registration day, he met his future wife, Annie E. Horn. Joe married Annie, the love of his life, February 8, 1953. They finished school at the University of Corpus Christi, in Corpus Christi, Texas where he surrendered for the ministry. After graduation Joe and Annie moved to Fort Worth where he entered Southwestern Seminary. During this time they were blessed with a son and daughter.

Joe leaves his wife of 70 years, Annie, daughter Jeanne and husband Larry Dannar; his daughter-in-law Sandra Moore; his grandchildren Russell Harmon and wife Lydian, Elizabeth Shaw and her husband James, Rachel Croft and her husband Taylor, and Christina Moore; his great-grandchildren Hunter Harmon and his fiancée Kenley Turner, Emma Harmon and her fiancé Jose Vera, Grace Mader, Rylee Mader and Reece Croft; and his sisters, Patricia Franke, Miriam Miller, and Joan Ruth Wenetschlaeger; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends to celebrate his home going.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Alice B and Robert Moore; Iva Horn and husband Arthur (whom he called Mom and Dad), brother John 'Jack' Edward Moore, sister Dora Beth 'Dodie' Blount, Roberta 'Bert' Alice Cornelius, and son Air Force Chaplain Joseph Arthur 'Art' Moore.

Viewing will be at Brenham Memorial Chapel Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 7am to 7pm with the Family available from 5pm-7pm. Funeral Services will be at Fellowship Baptist Church, Brenham, Texas, Wednesday June 7, 2023 at 1pm. Graveside service and Interment will be Thursday June 8, 2023 at Garden Park Cemetery, Conroe, Texas June 8, 2023 at 2pm.

Pallbearers will be son-in-law Larry Dannar, grandsons Russell Harmon, Hunter Harmon, Jose Vera, Phillip Mader and nephews Glenn Blount and Jim Rowland.
