Obituary

Julian Charles Kasprowicz, 88, passed away Saturday November 22, 2003 in Trinity Care Center.

He was born on January 3, 1915 in Washington County, to Stanley and Theodosia Rakowicz Kasprowicz. Julian began 57 years of marriage to Meta Schulze on January 31, 1942 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham. Julian had worked as a farmer and maintenance man for St. Jude Hospital. He is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his children: Richard Kasprowicz and wife Shirley of Brenham, Paul Kasprowicz of Brenham, Frances Bernshausen and husband Ben of Houston, Marilyn Clarke and husband Thomas of Corpus Christi and Virginia Ledbetter and husband Andy of Dallas; grandchildren: Ricky and Cathy Kasprowicz, Jason and Arona Kasprowicz, Dusty Kasprowicz, Judith Clarke, Marion Clarke, Rod Clarke, Dean and Laura Bernshausen and Carol and Rob Sanders; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Meta Kasprowicz in May 1999; infant daughter Mary; 4 brothers: Joe Kasprowicz, Wallace Kasprowicz, John Kasprowicz, and Frank Kasprowicz; 5 sisters: Mary Murski, Annie Baranowski, Clara Baranowski, Emily Schulze and Valeria Schulze.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday November 24, 2003 in Brenham Memorial Chapel, by Deacon Bill Januszewski.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday November 25, 2003 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father David Ivey as celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers include: Ricky Kasprowicz, Jason Kasprowicz, Dusty Kasprowicz, Dean Bernshausen, Rod Clarke and Edward Kasprowicz. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Hilden and F.A. Klahn.
