Darlene and Family,

I can’t express how much Kaci's work relationship and friendship has meant to me over the past 8 years. Her smile, laughter, and personality is one I'll never forget. No matter what kind of day she was having, she always greeted us with a big smile or a "boo!" We shared so many great stories while "hunting" for our favorite candy (Kaci, we will still pick out the dark chocolates for you). Most days, the "squirrelies" came to visit the ledges outside our offices, and every time, we would alert each other so one of us could "talk to it." She always made me laugh and smile at something she would do or say. I can't even count how many times I passed through the break room during lunch, stopped, and asked what she was having and told her that it smelled so good. Ha! She brought so much joy, kindness, and light into our lives and those around her. She will remain in our hearts forever. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Kaci was truly an incredible person, and her loss is felt deeply.

With love,
Kristi J.

I heard of Kaci's passing on Monday. I was laying in bed last night thinking about all the good times we had as kids. One of my earliest memories of her that has stuck with me was the time I got dressed for school in the dark and accidentally put on pastel yellow socks with 90s ruffles instead of normal-people socks. We were in 5th grade and as the teacher put on a documentary for us to watch, I put my feet on my desk (in order to achieve the maximum level of coolness) and my nerdy yellow ruffle socks became visible. Kaci immediately burst out laughing when she saw them and it was only then that I realized what happened. I never forgot it!
Through the years from 5th grade on, we stayed friends and even went to a horse summer camp together one year. Her folks probably remember me as the kid who came over and broke the windshield on their Mule (and then ran over it) as we rode around in the pasture
I have a lot of good memories with Kaci and I am grateful that she was in my life. I do regret losing touch after graduation, but that's how life goes. I don't think I ever heard a negative word come from her.
I know she is in the neverending glory of God. She was always such a beautiful soul.
Rest in Peace, my friend.

Mrs Darlene ~
I am so saddened by Kaci's illness and passing. I met her at my niece Jennifer's bridal shower and wedding (and I still talk about the deviled eggs YOU made for the shower!), and was lucky enough to get to chat with her and Amy for a while during that time. I know their hearts are hurting immensely, and they grieve with you. My prayers continue for you all, and all who were touched by her kind spirit and friendship. Condolences from all of us- Matthews and Huntsman families.

Joey and I express our deepest sympathy at Kaci's passing. We will miss her beautiful smile. Our last memory of her will be hearing about the great time she had at her friend's wedding at the Lenten Service Meal. May the Lord wrap his arms of comfort and sustain all of you, her family, in the days ahead.
