Obituary
Louis Charles (“L.C.”) Bosse passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his family.
On December 26, 1922, L.C. was born to parents, Louis Fritz Bosse and Olga Lamp Bosse. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He graduated from Brenham High School and attended Blinn College prior to joining the Army in 1943 when he left to serve his country during World War II. He returned home to marry his sweetheart, Natalie Marie Baranowski. They were united in marriage on June 19, 1945, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham. L.C. and Natalie enjoyed a marriage that lasted for over 62 years and had their only son, Richard Charles Bosse.
L.C.’s business endeavors included owning and operating numerous service stations over the years, selling real estate, and serving as a meat inspector for the state of Texas. The current location of Rick’s Auto Center was his parents’ former homesite. His parents moved their home in order for L.C. to build his dream. L.C.’s dream was to open a business that he could one day pass down to his son. At retirement, L.C. realized his dream when his son Rick took over the service station that he built on his family’s former homestead.
L.C. was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, The American Legion, Disabled American Veteran’s and Bread Partners. He ushered at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and assisted at funerals. His hobbies included operating his farm, fishing in Matagorda Bay, traveling to Galveston with his grandchildren, traveling to Branson, Missouri and gardening. He delighted in Sunday family get-togethers.
