Obituary
Larry James Felder, 77, of Brenham, TX was called to his eternal home Tuesday, September 2, 2025. After battling cancer and subsequent health problems, he passed away peacefully at Memorial Hermann Medical Center in Shenandoah, TX surrounded by his family.
Larry was born on November 19, 1947 to Arthur and Nelda Felder. He grew up in Bishop, Texas, where he lived until retiring to Brenham, TX in 2016. Larry was a dedicated member of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church and a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. He held many occupations throughout his life, including mechanic, cowboy, oilfield worker, farmer, and rancher. After moving to Brenham, he quickly made many lasting friendships and was embraced by a strong community. Larry will be remembered as always being true to his word and as the kind and patient man and father that he was. He will be deeply missed by his family and loved ones.
Larry is survived by his three children, Holly (Nick) Black, Terrell (Chanae) Felder and Caleb (Kelsey) Felder; grandchildren Waylon Black, Ava Felder, and Bailey Black; brothers Royce (Judy) Felder and Gene (Lynette) Felder, as well as numerous other relatives.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, September 4th from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM (family present from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM) at Brenham Memorial Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church on Friday, September 5th at 11:00 AM. The burial will take place at Concordia Cemetery in Bishop, TX on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
