Lawerence Weldon Kaigler

Weldon Kaigler, 92 of Brenham, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020.

Visitation will be Friday, July 24 from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 25 at 10 a.m. in the Masonic Cemetery in Chappell Hill with Dr. Doug Hall officiating. Wearing a mask and social distancing are encouraged.

Lawerence Weldon Kaigler was born April 18, 1928 to parents Donald and Mary (Parmer) Kaigler in San Benito, Texas. Weldon grew up in south Texas. Here he graduated from high school and then began working for Darvey Construction Company building highways. On April 28, 1951, he married Louise Pennington. In 1960, the family made their home in Brenham. He was employed by Steadley Company until his retirement.

Weldon had a kind spirit. He had numerous interests. With a love of Texas history, he visited and photographed many historical sites as well as trains. He enjoyed Bluegrass music. Weldon had been an active member of Brenham Church of Christ.

Surviving family includes: sons, Larry, Carl and wife Terri, James; four grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.

Weldon is preceded in death by parents, wife, brothers Donald and Joe Bob.
