L.D. “Jack” Farquhar

L.D. “Jack” Farquhar, age 80, passed away Monday May 27, 2013 at his residence. A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Jack Farquhar was born January 4, 1933 in Clay, Texas to parents Rose Lee Gunter and Alex Hunt Farquhar. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. In November 1955 he was married by Pastor Holems in Bellaire, Texas to Frances Lanelle Parks who preceded him in death. Jack was a member of the Wood Wire and Metal Lather’s International Union Local 224 of Houston, Texas.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Douglas, Jr. and Pam Farquhar, Lansing and Jennifer Farquhar; daughters and sons-in-law Kay and Bob Boling, Traci and Tim Witt; grandchildren Clinton Oliver Ward, Cody Dale Witt, Amber Lynn Witt, John Douglas “J.D.” Farquhar, Kendra Leigh Witt, Randi Blanch Farquhar, Chelsea Lanell Farquhar, Ethan Lloyd Farquhar; great-grandchildren Avery Layne Ward, Sterling Rose Ward; sisters and brothers-in-law Vivian Danhousier, Lucy and Joe Gabarkowitz, Betty and Vernon Roberts along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
