Leo J. Anderson

Leo J. Anderson, 78, of Temple and formerly of Brenham, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2010 at William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home in Temple, Tex.

Leo was born November 7, 1931 to parents Chester and Leah Marie Anderson in Atascadero, California. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. Leo graduated from John Muir High School in Pasadena, California. Leo served our country in the U.S. Coast Guard and Naval Reserve. He was a contamination control specialist for Aerospace Division at Parker Hannifin Corporation in California. He loved astronomy, rock hunting and gardening.

His parents, brothers Richard and Lewis Anderson preceded him in death.

Survivors are his children: Sharon Miller and husband Glen and granddaughter Heather Harrison of Brenham; Michael Anderson of Northridge, Calif., Mark J. Anderson of Bradenton, Fla., Stephanie E. Martinez and husband Craig of Palm Desert, Calif., and Susan D. Anderson; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brother Jack Anderson of Bethel, Alaska; and extended family Alvin and Dr. Susan Miller and A. S. “Doc” Miller.

Visitation with the family will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2010 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
